DEN 108 - Head, Neck, and Oral AnatomyPrerequisite: MAT 090 , MAT 095 , or appropriate score on the placement test; AND RDG 095 or appropriate score on the placement test. Corequisite: BIO 116 , DEN 101 , DEN 104 , and DEN 107 . (4 Credits) This course is designed for the first semester dental assistant students. The topics include anatomy of the teeth and dental nomenclature, the development, eruption, function, and morphological characteristics of the human deciduous and secondary dentition and a review of the bones and muscles of the orofacial complex. The examination of the temporomandibular joint and function, and dental occlusion classification will complete this course. Total of 45 hours of lecture and 45 hours of laboratory.
