DHY 116 - Dental PharmacologyPrerequisite: DHY 101 , DHY 102 , DHY 104 , and DHY 108 . Corequisite: DHY 110 , DHY 111 , DHY 112 , and DHY 113 . (2 Credits) This course is designed for the dental hygiene student to study the basics of pharmacology and systemic rationale for drug usage. Topics include drug names and categories associated with body systems, principle action of drugs, drug interactions with the oral cavity, dental disease, and herbal remedies. Semester Offered: Spring Semester Only. Course fee required. Total of 30 lecture hours.
