DHY 110 - Dental Hygiene Theory IIPrerequisite: DHY 101 , DHY 102 , DHY 104 , and DHY 108 . Corequisite: DHY 111 , DHY 112 , DHY 113 , and DHY 116 . (2 Credits) This course continues the study of Dental Hygiene Theory I and the dental hygiene process of care. Emphasis is on treatment care plans, dental hygiene diagnosis, and dental hygiene management of varying patients including children, medically compromised and/or individuals living with various disabilities. Examination of theories and practices of preventive dental hygiene are addressed. These include advanced instrumentation, fluoridation, and preventive aids. Semester Offered: Spring Semester Only. Course fee required. Total of 30 lecture hours.
