The Police Services Certificate program consists of core-professional courses designed to upgrade the basic job performance knowledge and skills required of the administration of justice practitioner. All courses within the program can also be applied toward partial completion of the Administration of Justice AAS degree.
Program-required courses may be completed through two distinctly different pathways: 1) traditional classroom setting in standard semesters or 2) HCC’s intensive 26-week Police Academy (see Police Academy requirements below). Either pathway leads to the HCC Certificate in Police Services; however, the Police Academy pathway allows students to also meet Maryland Police and Corrections Training Commission (MPCTC) requirements for entry-level police certification.
