Network Administration Concentration, Information Systems Technology, A.A.S.

Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Programs of Study

The Network Administration concentration provides students with necessary skills for careers as  network technicians and engineers.  Courses concentrate in areas of building, maintaining and troubleshooting computer networks; configuring switches and routers; and securing and protecting networks and data from attacks. The curriculum includes preparation for Net+, Security+, and CCNA certifications.  This A.A.S. program is a career degree, preparing students for the workforce after graduation.  However, students can opt to transfer to a four-year program rather than start a career, but should confer with advisors and transferring institutions for specific requirements.
