ART 213 - Digital Painting and Drawing IIPrerequisite: ART 113 (3 Credits) This course provides students with an advanced experience in the practice of digital image making as it is applied in fine and commercial art contexts. Students will be mentored towards developing an individual aesthetic in the various media of this field. The skills taught in this class are directly applicable to a wide variety of creative fields, including illustration, concept art for film, television, video games, product design, and advertising. Studio practice will address recent emergence of AI-powered digital image-making and its ethical, legal, creative, and philosophical implications. Over the duration of the course, students will produce a portfolio of work reflective of their mastery of course material. Total of 60 hours of lecture.
