LTN 101 - Elementary Latin IPrerequisite: RDG 095 or appropriate score on the placement test. (3 Credits) For thousands of years the ancient world spoke Latin and its influence is felt today in modern languages and cultures. In this introductory course, students will learn fundamental listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, as well as the cultural influence of the Latin-speaking world on modern experience. This course provides learners with an extensive vocabulary base and an understanding of basic sentence structures. Students will also learn basic conversational skills. * Art/Humanities Approved General Education Course. Total of 45 hours of lecture.
