ADM 201 - Lean Manufacturing and Quality AssurancePrerequisite: RDG 095 or appropriate score on the placement test. (2 Credits) The competitive business environment demands that every enterprise becomes lean. There is simply no manpower nor material to waste. This course teaches students the principles, concepts, and applications of lean management and quality techniques in today’s technology-based businesses. Subjects include 5S, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen (using Continuous Improvement Techniques requiring both conscious and sub-conscious thinking), quality assurance (focusing on techniques used to systematically monitor and evaluate various aspects of a project, service, or facility, to ensure that standards of quality are being met), and internationally agreed standards such as ISO. Total of 30 hours of lecture.
