NUR 228 - Contemporary Trends in Nursing and LeadershipPrerequisite: NUR 126 and NUR 226 ; OR NUR 195 . (2 Credits) This seminar course is designed for the pre-licensure student to analyze the role of the professional nurse as a leader in the profession and health care delivery. The course will focus on nursing leaders as vanguards of the profession and the role of the nurse leader in the health care delivery systems. Basic theoretical concepts will be examined using the nursing process as a framework. In order to progress in the Nursing Program, a grade of 77% or above must be achieved on all exams and a 77% or above must be attained on all course requirements. Total of 30 hours of lecture.
Semesters Offered: Fall and Spring Only, All Years.
