GDT 220 - Digital Video and AudioPrerequisite: GDT 112 . (3 Credits) This course is an intensive investigation into digital video production. Students will plan, shoot, edit and produce videos in digital format. Basic formatting techniques for YouTube, QuickTime, and mobile devices will be examined. Students will edit with Adobe Premiere CC. Students will examine design issues for documentary, marketing, educational and training videos. Students will define the target audience, set budget concepts, create treatments, storyboards and write scripts. Students will learn video composition, audio and lighting techniques for basic productions. Students will build a digital video portfolio with an intention for interviewing with a transfer college, employment or internship. Students will use state-of-the-art industry standard Mac computers. Total of 45 hours of lecture.
