CDC 210 - Medical Aspects of Chemical DependencyPrerequisite: HST 103 and PSY 206 .

This course focuses on the classification of alcohol and other drugs, the pharmacological effects of alcohol and drugs, and the co-morbidity of substance use disorders and other mental disorders. Additionally, the assessment and diagnostic techniques and treatment modalities and settings are included in the course. Total of 45 hours of lecture.
