DHY 211 - Dental Hygiene Ethics and JurisprudencePrerequisite: DHY 201 and DHY 202C . Corequisite: DHY 220 and DHY 221C . (1 Credit) This course is designed for the dental hygiene student focusing on dental laws, regulations, jurisprudence, and ethical decision making. Topics include discussions of ethical principles, theory, value, responsibility, justice, and law. Other topics include examination of the dental practice act, dental practice code of ethics, and the professional relationship of a dental hygienist to dentists and patients. Course fee required. Total of 15 hours of lecture.
