DHY 110 - Dental Hygiene Theory IIPrerequisite: DHY 101 , DHY 102C , DHY 104 , and DHY 108 . Corequisite: DHY 111C , DHY 112 , DHY 113 , and DHY 116 . (2 Credits) This course continues the study of Dental Hygiene Theory I and the dental hygiene process of care. Emphasis is on treatment care plans, dental hygiene diagnosis, and dental hygiene management of varying patients including children, medically compromised and/or individuals living with various disabilities. Examination of theories and practices of preventive dental hygiene are addressed. These include advanced instrumentation, fluoridation, and preventive aids. Course fee required. Total of 30 lecture hours.
