CYB 210 - Ethics in the Information AgePrerequisite: CSC 102 or CYB 101 . (3 Credits) In this course, students become familiar with the large impact ethical issues have on the use of information technology in the modern business world. Course includes coverage of cloud computing, cyber terrorism, social networking Web sites, infringement of intellectual property, security risks, identity theft, employee surveillance, privacy, compliance, and ethics of IT corporations, including the use of foreign workers, outsourcing, and green computing. Ethics and the Information Age is a study of ethics and moral philosophy as a means for providing a framework for ethically grounded decision making in the information age. Course fee required. Total of 45 contact hours.
