PHL 101 - Introduction to PhilosophyPrerequisite: RDG 095 or appropriate score on the placement test. (3 Credits) This course is for those who believe that there is nobility in the pursuit of truth, and that asking questions is as important as answering them. Beginning in the Ancient world and moving all the way through contemporary times, we will explore various branches of philosophy, major contributions to Western thought, and philosophical problems that have plagued humanity throughout recorded history. Our studies will strive to make connections between the past and present, and provide useful and provocative lenses through which we can examine our own lives. * Arts/Humanities Approved General Education Course. Varying digital textbook access fee included. Total of 45 hours of lecture.
