EDU 103 - Foundations of Early Childhood EducationPrerequisite: ENG 100 or placement into ENG 101 .
(3 Credits)
This course is designed to increase the student’s understanding of various curriculum models and approaches in early childhood education. Focusing on programs for children from birth through grade 3, historical and philosophical foundations, learner characteristics, contemporary issues and career opportunities are introduced. Students are required to participate in 10 hours of guided observation in several early childhood settings. Total 45 hours of lecture.
