BIO 116 - Human Anatomy and Physiology for Allied HealthPrerequisite: ENG 099 and MAT 099 or appropriate scores on placement test; high school chemistry or CHM 101 and a passing score on the anatomy/physiology placement examination. This may require the completion of BIO 099 or a four-credit college biology course. (4 Credits) This is a single semester course (lecture and lab) designed to provide an understanding of the structure and function of human anatomy, including the neuroendocrine, integumentary, musculoskeletal, digestive, urinary, reproductive, respiratory, and circulatory systems. The laboratory work involves a complete study and dissection of a cat as a typical mammal, with comparison to the human. This course is not approved for the RN, LPN or RAD programs.
Total of 45 hours of lecture and 45 hours of lab.
