PHR 113 - Pharmacy Operations

Prerequisite: PHR 101.
(3 Credits)

This course includes pharmacy information systems, requirements of medication orders and prescriptions, understanding formularies and processing insurance claims. A focus will be placed on professionalism in pharmacy practice and working with others both within and outside of the pharmacy to process patient prescriptions and medication orders. Total of 45 hours of lecture.
