SOC 120 - Health and SocietyPrerequisite: RDG 095 or appropriate score on the placement test. (3 Credits) This course will focus on the political, social, economic, and historical contributions to health disparities existing in the United States. Students will gain a deeper understanding of how inequities and social determinants impact individual and population health. We analyze various health and illness disparities, as well as examining health and medical care access. * Diversity Approved General Education Course. Total of 45 hours of lecture.
