CSC 130 - Fundamentals of Programming Design (3 Credits) This course introduces the fundamental principles of programming design. It is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of fundamental concepts and techniques necessary for effective software development. Students will study sequencing, selection, and iteration techniques of algorithmic design; Boolean logic; decision structures and programming logistics; file handling and basic data types; control structures; regular expressions; input/output; and textual analysis. Students will learn about problem analysis, algorithm design, and program development through theory, example, and structured hands-on programming projects using the Python programming language. Total of 45 hours of lecture.
