EDU 240 - Education Capstone Field ExperiencePrerequisite: EDU 101 or EDU 103 AND EDU 211 or PSY 203 (1-3 Credits) EDU-240 Education Capstone Field Experience provides a structured field-based experience in an approved educational setting and is required for students preparing to become teachers. Students will be assigned field placements to observe the teaching and learning process for a total of forty-five hours. Students will produce a professional portfolio as their capstone project and attend lectures. It is highly recommended that EDU-240 is taken as one of the last courses completed for the Associate’s Degree. External classroom observation will occur on the student’s own time. *AAT students will register for the appropriate number of credits based on the number of field experience hours they have already completed in the prerequisite courses in order to meet the total number of 45 hours required. Semester Offered:Spring Semester Only. Total of 15-45 contact hours.
